Manufacturer Provided Description
Our Patriot 29 evolved from dozens of discussions with our families and friends over a period of several months. We found that while many people enjoy the head-turning exterior characteristics of the Blackwater 29, they seldom use a boat for extended cruising. Rather, they want to spend time with family and friends on day trips or sunset cruises. For that, they require the maximum possible deck space and only minimal accommodations below. An enclosed head is a must, of course, but there is little need for extensive cabinetry or a full galley below. From those discussions, the Patriot 29 was borne. We begin with the client's choice of hull, deck and non-skid colors. To hold the upkeep of exterior wood to a minimum, the Patriot is moderately outfitted with a teak toe rail and our signature teak eyebrow. Dual helm seating is standard, as are the VHF, compass and a few other amenities. Aft seating is an option for those who enjoy extra company. To maximize deck space, we shorten our trunk to accommodate a small enclosed head trimmed in teak on one side of the cabin and a sink opposite. There is still a large v-berth with plenty of room to sleep two comfortably, along with a hanging locker and storage access below the sink and v-berth areas. By eliminating a full galley, however, the Patriot has ample room for a small party for a cocktail cruise, exploring a creek or traveling to dinner. As with all our boats, options abound, but the Patriot responds to the many requests we have received for a comfortable day tripper in 29 feet.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Mathews Brothers Classic Bay Cruiser is an elegant yacht in 22 feet, perfect for traveling in style on day trips along the Chesapeake's bays, coves and creeks. Built on a Lempke deadrise workboat hull giving it a distinctive Bay character, it provides the classic look of a larger yacht finish boat, but the ease of handling a smaller craft can offer. Our clients typically select a navy blue or dark green hull with an off-white or ivory deck. Teak appointments may include a toe rail, coaming cap, bowsprit, handrails and the signature Mathews Brothers eyebrow. An optional teak transom and swim platform are also available. The cuddy cabin with four fixed ports and an opening hatch contains a V-berth with storage. A teak bulkhead carries the electrical panel along with a hanging locker with a teak louvered door. The interior of the cabin is trimmed in teak with the ceiling in ash. The cabin's sole is finished in teak and holly. We craft the windshield in fiberglass with teak as an option. In the cockpit, there are two pedestal seats are forward, and an aft seat is available in the stern. Several of our clients have chosen a teak sole for the cockpit. The Classic Bay Cruiser comes as either an inboard our outboard. We outfit the inboard version with a 100hp Yanmar Diesel that enables the yacht to cruise comfortably in the 18 to 20 knot range. For the outboard, our clients typically select a Honda 125hp, and the Cruiser tops out at more than 36 miles per hour. The inboard version utilizes a 38 gallon fuel tank and the outboard a 43 gallon unit.
